A Letter From The Executive Director
Cherokee County is a beautiful thriving community. We have wonderful friends and neighbors who are a major part of what makes life so good. Unfortunately, the statistics on Domestic Violence indicate that one third of these cherished friends who are women will at some point be victims of domestic violence. These are our daughters, our sisters, our mothers, our neighbors and our co-workers. This fact, and the need to alleviate the problems associated with domestic violence, is what prompted the founding of the Cherokee Family Violence Center. We find these statistics unacceptable and have worked since 1985 to bring about change here in our community and throughout the state. During the past 23 years, CFVC has seen women of every race and economic background come through our doors. We have worked to help provide safety to these women and their children and to empower them to envision a life that is free from violence. Won’t you join us in helping to break this vicious cycle? Together we can help victims become survivors and heal from the trauma of abuse. Together we can provide help. Together we can provide hope. Together we can help them heal.

Meg Rogers

Executive Director
